Precautions for using liquefied gas cylinders

Liquefied petroleum gas cylinders are the most commonly used containers for household storage of liquefied gas. When using liquefied petroleum gas cylinders, we should pay attention to the following:

  1. It is strictly forbidden to dump the remaining liquid in the LPG cylinder.
  2. It is strictly forbidden to use liquefied gas in the basement.
  3. It is strictly forbidden to pour air without permission, and it is strictly prohibited to use open flame to test leaks.
  4. The distance between the steel cylinder and the stove should be 0.5-1m.
  5. The cylinder must be placed upright, and never lying or upside down.
  6. ??Steel cylinders must be kept away from heat sources, boiling water is not allowed to heat, and no open flame is allowed to heat.
  7. Steel cylinders should be loaded and unloaded lightly during transportation. They are not allowed to be rolled on the ground, bumped or knocked randomly, to prevent the danger of damage.
If you remember the above points, then the danger will not happen to you.

Why can't liquefied gas cylinders be placed sideways

Liquid gasification danger: Because the liquefied petroleum gas in the liquefied petroleum  gas cylinder  is a high-pressure liquefaction method (its original volume is compressed to 1/250), it is poured into the steel cylinder. Once the steel cylinder is placed horizontally, the liquid will immediately flow into the atmosphere and will expand immediately. 250 times, if there is any fire source during the expansion process, it will be dangerous; Risk of heat generation due to friction: when the LPG cylinder is standing, the contact area between the liquid and the gas is small, which is safe; if it is placed horizontally, the contact area between the liquid and the gas is large, which is more dangerous; especially when it is shaken horizontally, the friction area between the liquid and the gas expands 3. The increased frequency will make the liquid vaporize and pressurize and affect its safety. If there is a heat source nearby, there is a danger of explosion; The on-off v...

Unexamined LPG cylinders are tantamount to bombs

It is understood that the service life of the general liquefied gas cylinders is 15 years, and the steel cylinders with a capacity of 15 kg and 5 kg must undergo a mandatory "physical examination" every 4 years, and the 50 kg steel cylinders need to be tested every 3 years. The current safety hazards of liquefied gas cylinders are mainly due to overdue inspections and don’t sell them to individuals after they are scrapped. Many people have misunderstandings about liquefied gas cylinders. Some citizens once stored scrapped steel cylinders at home or sold them to private individuals to allow scrapped cylinders to continue to circulate in the market, which are likely to cause safety accidents. The quality inspector said that many people think that they have run out of liquefied gas, or open the valve to release the gas, and there is no liquefied gas in it. This view is not correct. Scrapped steel cylinders are deflated by special tools in the laboratory, and there will stil...

Liquefied gas cylinder fire treatment matters

It can be said that "the liquefied gas cylinder fires after extinguishing, then close the valve" is a false rumor. Our real practice should be to close the valve and then extinguish the fire after the liquefied gas cylinder fires. Extinguish the fire first and then close the valve. There is a safety hazard in this operation. Because after the flame is extinguished, the valve is not tightly closed, and the gas may leak and accumulate in the air, and there may be an explosion! When the valve of the liquefied gas cylinder is intact, the first choice is to close the valve. Then, let's explain to you in detail that once the liquefied gas cylinder is on fire, you can take different disposal measures according to the site situation: The first case where the liquefied gas is on fire is better. Although the liquefied gas tank is already on fire, when the valve of the liquefied gas cylinder is intact, we immediately close the valve as soon as the valve is turned off and it...
